About the role

The Mopani District Municipality is advertising a range of positions across its Community Services, Corporate & Shared Services, Water & Sanitation Services and Security directorates. Roles include Disaster Risk Reduction Coordinator, HR Practitioner, ICT Technician (Security and Networks), Station Officer (Prevention), Administrator Human Resources and Control Technician.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate disaster risk reduction activities and monitor related plans for organs of state.
• Facilitate recruitment, selection and employment equity processes within the district.
• Provide ICT support, including security monitoring, network design, installation and maintenance of hardware/software.
• Administer personnel records, leave management and staff supervision for water and sanitation services.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate.
• Relevant National Diploma or Degree (e.g., Human Resource Management, Disaster Management, Computer Science, Water Care).
• 2‑4 years of relevant experience depending on the position.
• Valid driver’s licence (C1 for fire‑related roles).

Required skills

• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Report writing and data processing.
• Knowledge of disaster management principles and HRM practices.
• Understanding of ICT network design, administration and security legislation.
