About the role
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join a well‑established events business in Cape Town. The role offers a hybrid working model and involves hands‑on management of day‑to‑day financial operations while supporting broader business functions.
Key responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform bank, creditor, debtor and credit‑card reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports and execute month‑end closing processes.
- Submit VAT, EMP201 and EMP501 returns.
- Oversee payroll processing.
- Support audit preparation and liaise with auditors.
- Assist with financial planning and forecasting.
Required profile
- BCom Accounting (or equivalent qualification).
- Minimum three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
