Revenue and Customer Care Manager

About the role

The Municipality of Beaufort West is seeking a senior professional to lead its Revenue and Customer Care unit. The role involves overseeing financial processes, managing overdue accounts, and ensuring accurate reporting in line with municipal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, administer and control accounting procedures, including verification, reporting and recovery of overdue accounts.
• Guide transaction and expenditure processing, support analysis and reconciliation of administrative processes.
• Develop and mentor staff on processing sequences and maintain performance indicators for income and expenditure.
• Implement financial policies, contribute to long‑term financial planning and oversee staff management.

Required profile

• Relevant 3‑year tertiary qualification (National Diploma or BCom) with a major in financial accounting.
• Minimum eight years of experience in financial processes and management.
• Computer literacy in MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in at least two official languages of the Western Cape.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence and ability to work under pressure.
