Accounting and Implementation Manager

About the role

Aprio, a globally recognised firm among the top 20 CPA and advisory organisations, is expanding its remote team and seeks an Accounting and Implementation Manager. The role bridges financial reporting requirements and complex operational technology, serving as a strategic lead for clients in the restaurant, franchise and hospitality industries. It is not a traditional back-office accounting role: you act as an internal consultant, turning the financial and operational needs of multi-entity businesses into practical system designs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the deployment of accounting and management platforms for new and existing clients.
• Design and maintain the architecture for inventory items, expense categories and complex costing structures.
• Own financial reporting outputs so that data is accurate and complies with accounting standards.
• Audit existing platform environments to identify inefficiencies and implement smarter workflows.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for client staff on best practices and system updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field.
• At least five years of professional experience in ERP implementation or high-level accounting technology projects.
• Proven expertise managing financial structures for multi-entity businesses in the hospitality or restaurant sectors.
• Ability to explain accounting principles to non-financial stakeholders and to lead training sessions.

Required skills

• Restaurant365, QuickBooks Online or comparable industry-standard accounting platforms.
• ERP implementation and system configuration.

• Salary typically between R60,000 and R95,000 per month, depending on experience and technical certifications.
