Controller – Assets & Financial Management Information System

About the role

The Municipality is seeking a Controller to manage its assets and financial management information system. The role involves overseeing financial administration, asset registers and ensuring accurate reporting in line with municipal policies.

Required profile

• A relevant 3‑year tertiary qualification (National Diploma or BCom) with financial accounting as a major
• Driver’s licence Code B
• 0–2 years of relevant experience
• Functional competencies in accounting, procurement, budgeting, financial management, costing, financial reporting and process management
• Professional competencies in oral and written communication, organisational awareness, problem solving, planning and organising
• Public‑service orientation competencies in interpersonal relationships, communication and service‑delivery orientation
• Personal competencies such as action‑orientation, resilience, cognitive ability, change readiness and learning orientation
• Management/leadership competencies including impact and influence, team orientation, direction setting, coaching and mentoring
