Payroll Support Consultant

About the role

Labournet is seeking a Payroll Support Consultant to help clients optimise their payroll processes, resolve day‑to‑day payroll queries and maintain strong client relationships. The role contributes to compliance improvement and supports the company’s mission of simplifying work‑related legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client system setups, configurations and resolve product‑related queries within SLA.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in a centralised environment and manage incident communication.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with key client contacts, providing guidance to junior consultants when needed.
• Stay current on system functionality, legislative updates and best‑practice HR practices.
• Deliver internal training, mentor other support consultants and contribute to knowledge‑transfer sessions.
• Accurately record client interactions, book appointments and ensure correct billing where applicable.
• Follow SDLC sign‑off processes, uphold product quality standards and identify process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong client‑service orientation with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
• Good understanding of payroll processes, HR legislation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a support team and mentor junior staff.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying up‑to‑date with system and legal changes.
