Labeller Operator

About the role

The Labeller Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring labelling equipment to ensure products are correctly, consistently and efficiently labelled before packing or dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the labeller and adjust machine settings to produce perfectly labelled containers in line with product specifications.
• Check label height, overlap, alignment and date coder functionality every 15 minutes and correct any issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of the labeller, drum, sensors and surrounding conveyors, performing regular cleaning and inspections.
• Inspect bottles and labels regularly for visual quality criteria such as pearlescence, solid base, straight neck and correct label placement.
• Report label shortages or problems to the Team Leader promptly and organise label supplies.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks on the labeller as instructed by the maintenance manager.

Required profile

• Promptly report any label shortages or operational problems to the Team Leader.
• Maintain a clean and running work area, ensuring equipment is ready for continuous production.

Required skills

• Operation of labelling equipment.
• Adjustment of machine settings and date coder operation.
• Routine cleaning and basic maintenance of labeller components.
