Front Office Supervisor – 5★ Hotel in Camps Bay

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Front Office Supervisor to join a prestigious 5‑star hotel in the vibrant coastal suburb of Camps Bay, Cape Town. The successful candidate will lead the front desk team, ensure seamless guest experiences, and uphold the high standards expected of a luxury property.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional 5★ guest service at all times.
• Handle VIP guests, special requests, and guest complaints professionally.
• Supervise, train, and support front office staff.
• Conduct daily briefings and manage shift handovers.
• Monitor room allocations, occupancy, and coordinate with housekeeping.
• Ensure accuracy in billing, cash handling, and reporting.
• Drive upselling initiatives and support revenue targets.
• Maintain guest records using PMS systems (Opera or similar).
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hotel policies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• 2–4 years of front office experience, preferably in a luxury hotel.
• Strong knowledge of PMS systems (Opera or similar).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Professional appearance and high standard of conduct.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Required skills

• Opera PMS (or comparable property management system).
