Financial Accountant – Hybrid – City Centre, Johannesburg

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg on a hybrid working model. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end accounting processes, supporting month‑end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly journal entries, accruals, adjustments and assist with management accounts.
• Perform detailed variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance.
• Manage daily banking activities, reconcile bank statements and support cash‑flow management.
• Process supplier, operational and ad‑hoc payments in line with company controls.
• Oversee accounts receivable, reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment queries.
• Maintain supplier records, perform monthly supplier reconciliations and ensure timely invoice processing.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping or Finance (e.g., Diploma, BCom).
• 3–5 years of experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of South African accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
