Strategy Enablement Manager – Global Markets Africa

About the role

The Strategy Enablement Manager for Global Markets Africa Regions will translate high‑level strategic objectives into actionable plans that drive performance across diverse African markets. Reporting within Liberty’s Global Markets division, the role works closely with the Strategy Enablement Lead and senior management to coordinate complex initiatives, provide commercial insights, and maintain governance over deliverables, risks and dependencies.

Key responsibilities

• Transform approved strategic priorities into execution plans with clear outcomes, milestones and governance routines across countries, product lines and client segments.
• Monitor progress, identify delivery gaps or roadblocks, and escalate material risks with mitigation recommendations.
• Conduct deep‑dive market, client, competitor and regulatory analysis to surface opportunities and risks for the Africa franchise.
• Support market sizing, share analysis, revenue forecasting and regular performance reviews.
• Prepare high‑quality strategic documents, executive presentations and dashboards to enable informed decision‑making.
• Maintain comprehensive tracking of actions, decisions, risks, dependencies and milestones to ensure accountability and transparency.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, economics, business).
• Substantial experience in strategy, consulting or financial markets, preferably within the South African financial services sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders, country heads and functional stakeholders.
