Bid Specialist for Education Projects

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Bid Specialist to manage the end‑to‑end bid process for educational projects. The role involves preparing competitive proposals that align with Regenesys Business School’s goals and South African procurement regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage RFQ, RFP and EOI processes and support tender writers across the Regenesys Group.
• Assist Senior Business Developers with vendor registration and compliance queries.
• Design and develop proposal content in response to client requests.
• Consolidate and submit regular reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct follow‑ups with clients on submitted bids and provide feedback to improve future submissions.
• Research market opportunities, competitors and industry trends to inform bid strategy.
• Draft, review and edit bid documents ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with client requirements.
• Collaborate with finance, legal and project‑management teams to gather necessary information and approvals.
• Ensure bids comply with South African procurement laws, BBBEE requirements and mitigate associated risks.
• Conduct debriefs on both successful and unsuccessful bids to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bid management, preferably within the education sector.
• Strong understanding of South African procurement processes and BBBEE compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
