Assessments Officer

About the role

The Assessment Officer administers assessment processes for allocated programmes, handling coursework, research projects and theses. The role supports the Assessment Manager and Head of Assessments in processing submissions, examinations and ensuring compliance with quality assurance policies.

Key responsibilities

• Record and manage all information related to a student’s assessment journey using internal systems.
• Review examination schedules and support examination preparation, including accommodations for special‑needs students.
• Liaise with external moderators, resolve assessment issues promptly, and assist in preparing assessment reports.
• Input and cross‑check assessment results, prepare results for academic sign‑off, and publish results after quality checks.
• Maintain the assessments tracker and ensure smooth workflow within the assessment team.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor’s degree (honours degree is an advantage).
• 2–5 years of experience in academic administration or assessment within a higher‑education institution.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Proficiency in MS Word.
• Database management skills.
