Assistant Artisan – Plant Maintenance

About the role
The Assistant Artisan will support the maintenance of equipment and plant on site, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role is essential for keeping production processes running smoothly and safely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day‑to‑day maintenance of plant equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot faults.
- Provide on‑the‑job training to junior staff.
- Assist with plant and system upgrades and project management tasks.
- Carry out system maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns.
- Participate in audits covering food safety, health & safety, and stock control.
Required profile
- Matric or equivalent qualification.
- Willingness to pursue further studies to meet role requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Strong communication and self‑motivation.
