Tax Specialist - Advocacy and Policy

About the role

The Tax Specialist – Advocacy and Policy supports the Head of Tax in managing the Group’s tax policy framework, monitoring legislative developments, and driving advocacy initiatives across all jurisdictions where the company operates.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical tax research on legislative, regulatory, judicial and administrative developments.
• Develop, maintain and implement Group tax policies, technical guidance and position papers.
• Analyse complex tax issues and prepare technical opinions and recommendations.
• Provide policy guidance to internal stakeholders and tax workstreams.
• Track and assess the business impact of tax changes, preparing alerts, summaries and impact assessments.
• Support tax advocacy through research, consultation responses and policy submissions.
• Coordinate stakeholder contributions for industry and tax authority engagements.
• Maintain records of advocacy activities, consultations and submissions.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and research capabilities in tax matters.
• Ability to monitor legislative and regulatory developments across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience preparing technical analyses, policy documents and position papers.
• Capability to coordinate stakeholder inputs and support engagements with tax authorities and industry bodies.
