Senior Global Mobility Specialist

About the role

RemotePass is a global employment, payroll and spend platform supporting workers in more than 150 countries. It is hiring a Senior Global Mobility Specialist to own its most complex and high-risk immigration cases end to end and act as the go-to expert for the wider Mobility team. The role is fully remote and is not a legal role, but it demands deep hands-on immigration compliance experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage work permits, visas, extensions, renewals and status changes, tracking expiry dates and starting renewals early
• Handle escalations from employees, managers and external providers, and advise Onboarding, Offboarding and Lifecycle teams on eligibility, documentation and compliance
• Keep immigration processes compliant with global, regional and local rules, spot risks and delays early, and brief leadership on policy changes
• Maintain an accurate immigration knowledge base of country requirements, processing times and procedures, validated with external counsel and government agencies
• Review and coach Junior Global Mobility Specialists, support the Lifecycle team during peak periods, and build relationships with external counsel, vendors and government representatives
• Track processing times, approval rates and bottlenecks, and design process improvements

Required profile

• 4-6 years managing complex, cross-border immigration cases, ideally at an EOR, global mobility firm, immigration consultancy or in-house mobility function
• Strong working knowledge of immigration compliance and cross-border workforce requirements across multiple jurisdictions
• Experience managing external immigration counsel and working with international government agencies
• Experience mentoring junior team members or reviewing their work
• Practical understanding of data privacy as it applies to employee immigration records
• Fluent English; another language is a plus
