Production Supervisor – Manufacturing (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to lead a multi‑skilled garment production line at our Durban facility. You will ensure efficient line set‑up, meet hourly targets and maintain high quality standards while supporting a safe and collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Attend pre‑production meetings and coordinate line changeovers to minimise downtime.
• Set up the line according to the line‑balancing sheet and perform line balancing for optimal staff utilisation.
• Monitor production against the plan, report deviations and keep downtime to a minimum by flagging faulty equipment.
• Ensure bundle sheets align with actual cut‑work delivered and maintain WIP levels.
• Record non‑conformances, manage needle policy and discipline staff when required.
• Accurately log downtime on the MIS and conduct capacity checks to achieve hourly targets.
• Return completed trims to the trim store after each style.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 10 education.
• At least one year of supervisory experience, preferably in the clothing industry.
• Clear criminal record and solid garment construction knowledge.
• Good references and strong interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
