Procurement & Contracts Manager

About the role

The Procurement & Contracts Manager will lead the end‑to‑end tender process, from pre‑qualification to contract signing, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and company policies. This role also oversees fleet and stock management, supplier performance, and SED reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full tender lifecycle, including drafting invitations, coordinating evaluations, and awarding contracts.
• Ensure all procurement activities follow established Levels of Authority and corporate governance standards.
• Draft, negotiate, and finalize purchase contracts in line with tender terms.
• Liaise with finance and HR to set up supplier payments and compile monthly SED reports.
• Monitor supplier performance and report on compliance with contractual and SED requirements.
• Oversee fleet control activities and maintain up‑to‑date stock and uniform policies.
• Provide guidance to subordinates and conduct periodic reviews of procurement processes.
• Develop strategies to optimise procurement costs and improve resource utilisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, tender management, and contract administration.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, Levels of Authority, and SED reporting requirements.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Leadership skills to guide a team and achieve departmental objectives.
• Analytical mindset for monitoring performance and optimising costs.
