Dispatch and Warehouse Controller

About the role

Designer Water SA is seeking a disciplined, hands‑on Dispatch and Warehouse Controller to manage the daily movement of finished goods from released stock through picking, loading and delivery documentation. The role is operational, not administrative, and requires control of the dispatch floor, coordination of staff and vehicles, and protection of stock accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Translate confirmed customer orders into daily picking, staging, loading and dispatch plans.
• Check product, quantity, batch, packaging condition and documentation before loading.
• Coordinate dispatch staff, drivers, third‑party transporters and loading priorities.
• Enforce FIFO/FEFO, batch traceability and food‑safety requirements.
• Control delivery notes, invoices, vehicle checklists, proof of delivery and returns.
• Track each dispatched order until delivery or exception closure and reconcile variances.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of dispatch, warehouse or distribution‑control experience in FMCG, food, beverage or manufacturing.
• Proven experience checking and releasing customer orders for loading.
• Strong stock‑control, batch‑traceability and reconciliation discipline.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and lawful eligibility to work in South Africa.

Required skills

• Competence in an ERP or warehouse stock‑management system.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
