About the role
A General Worker opportunity is available in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, assisting truck drivers with the loading and offloading of trucks. The role is temporary and involves maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist truck drivers with loading and offloading
- Keep outside walkways clear and free of debris
- Report repairs and maintenance issues to building management
- Clean and maintain the premises
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Perform other reasonable duties as required
Required profile
- Medically fit and reliable
- Able to work safely and follow all safety requirements
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Clean criminal record
- Own reliable transport to and from work
- Able to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Physically able to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper storage/disposal
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good organisational skills
- Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision
- Able to follow reasonable instructions from a supervisor
