About the role
Absolute Pets, South Africa’s leading pet retailer, is seeking a highly organised IBT Clerk to join its Cape Town warehouse in Marconi Beam. The role focuses on managing inbound and outbound inter‑branch transfers (IBTs) to ensure accurate stock movement and documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all incoming IBTs from stores, debrief drivers and ensure documents are correct and stock is assigned.
- Monitor outgoing IBTs to stores and alert management of any IBTs older than the agreed ageing.
- Keep IBTs current, ensuring none are older than 48 hours.
- Investigate short or over deliveries promptly based on driver reports.
- Use Fleetcam to verify delivery consistency and investigate IBT discrepancies.
- Flag system, store non‑compliance, and warehouse issues that increase IBTs.
- Record damages from trucks and prepare management reports.
- Process incoming good stock back into inventory after system processing.
- Accept incoming stock from drivers and allocate returned IBT stock to assigned bins.
- Perform daily handover to inventory for IBTs requiring write‑off due to damage or expiry.
