Personal Trainer – Fitness Club

About the role

As a Personal Trainer at Virgin Active, you will run your own training business within our club facilities, delivering tailored fitness programmes to members. You will build and maintain a client base while ensuring a safe, motivating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design safe and effective exercise programmes for individual clients.
• Provide high‑level customer service to personal training clients and all club members.
• Grow a sustainable client base by attracting new clients and retaining existing ones.
• Maintain accurate client records in the designated club areas.
• Observe professional boundaries and respond to club emergencies when required.
• Participate in club activities and help create a fun atmosphere in the fitness areas.
• Follow Virgin Active’s personal training guidelines and ensure all certifications are current.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Recognised Personal Training qualification.
• 1–2 years’ experience in personal training.
• Current First Aid, CPR and AED certification.
• Outgoing, friendly personality with strong communication skills.
• Self‑motivated to meet income targets and disciplined in building a client base.
