About the role
The Gauteng Department of Health is offering a 3‑year full‑time Diploma in Nursing for the 2027 Student Nurse Intake. The programme includes academic study and clinical training across public hospitals and clinics in Gauteng.
Key responsibilities
- Complete a full‑time 3‑year Diploma in Nursing.
- Participate in clinical training at Gauteng public hospitals and clinics.
- Work shifts as part of clinical placements.
Required profile
- South African citizen residing and matriculated in Gauteng.
- Matric results meeting specified subject levels (English, Life Sciences, Mathematics or Maths Literacy, APS 27+ or equivalent).
- Eligible senior certificate, NCV Level 4, or current Grade 12 learner with final Grade 11 results.
- Unfunded by any government department or scheme and not currently enrolled at another tertiary institution.
