Management Accountant (CA(SA)) – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

Our client, a global organisation based in Johannesburg North, is looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to join the finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role focuses on commercial finance, providing analysis and insights that support senior leadership decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and P&L reports.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis across multiple business units and translate findings into commercial recommendations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow modelling cycles, continuously improving processes.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal governance frameworks and coordinate external audit activities.
• Oversee fixed‑asset registers, tax compliance, cash management and related financial controls.
• Partner with operational teams on pricing, profitability and cost‑optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA) – non‑negotiable; completed articles (Big 4 or equivalent preferred).
• 3–5 years post‑qualification experience with clear exposure to commercial finance, FP&A or management accounting.
• Demonstrated transition from audit to a business‑focused finance environment.
