Maintenance Supervisor – Luxury Lodge

About the role

A prestigious luxury lodge in KwaZulu-Natal is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join its hospitality team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will ensure that all lodge infrastructure, equipment, vehicles, roads and guest facilities are kept to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager with overall maintenance of the lodge, guest areas, staff facilities and surrounding infrastructure.
• Maintain buildings, fixtures, furniture, equipment, landscaping, gardens and recreational facilities to company standards.
• Implement and monitor preventative maintenance schedules to maximise equipment lifespan and operational efficiency.
• Manage stock control procedures and maintain the maintenance budget responsibly.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP principles in kitchens, bars and food‑production areas.
• Conduct regular inspections and verify that all work meets lodge standards.
• Interact with guests for satisfaction checks and provide feedback to management.
• Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (essential).
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in hospitality, lodge or a similar environment.
• Strong understanding of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems and general building maintenance.
• Basic vehicle servicing and repair experience.
• Road maintenance experience.
• Solar‑system experience advantageous.
• Previous lodge experience preferred.
• Knowledge of facilities, machinery, equipment and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Excellent organisational, planning and supervisory skills.
• Professional, presentable and guest‑focused attitude.
