Reservations Officer – Game Lodge (Pongola, KZN)

About the role

Join a premier game lodge in Pongola, KwaZulu‑Natal as a Reservations Officer. You will be the first point of contact for guests, guiding them from initial enquiry through to confirmed booking and ensuring a seamless arrival experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incoming reservation enquiries via phone and email.
• Confirm room availability, process bookings and handle amendments, cancellations and payments.
• Maintain accurate reservation records in the Opera property management system.
• Provide guests with information on lodge facilities, services and local attractions.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Operations, Guides and Management to ensure smooth guest flow.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of reservations experience in a lodge, hotel or similar hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of lodge operations and the tourism industry.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to live on‑site and adapt to a lodge environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Opera reservation/property management system.
