Financial Manager – FMCG & Agricultural Products (CA(SA)/CIMA)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing FMCG and agricultural products importer, exporter and distributor, is seeking a technocratic Financial Manager to strengthen financial controls, improve systems and governance, and support the company’s expansion across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and support business growth.
• Drive financial controls, governance and systems improvements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow and reporting.
• Oversee inventory, stock valuation and costing.
• Manage import/export financial processes and foreign‑exchange transactions.
• Ensure VAT, tax and statutory compliance.
• Partner with executive management on strategic initiatives.
• Support expansion across Africa and the development of new brands.

Required profile

• CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (essential).
• 8+ years of financial management experience.
• Experience in FMCG and/or agricultural products industry.
• Imports & exports and international trading experience.
• Inventory, stock control and landed costing experience.
• Forex and VAT (imports & exports) experience.
• Experience raising finance and structuring commercial deals (advantageous).
• African market exposure, preferably DRC (advantageous).
• French speaking (advantageous).
