Financial Accountant – Full‑time (Johannesburg)

About the role

Sasso Consulting is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join its finance team in Johannesburg. You will own the end‑to‑end bookkeeping process up to trial balance, manage payroll‑related tasks and ensure accurate financial administration.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full bookkeeping and accounting up to trial balance.
• Process and reconcile debtor and creditor accounts.
• Handle bank and petty‑cash processing and reconciliations.
• Prepare and post accounting journals.
• Execute payroll processing and prepare PAYE, UIF and SDL summaries.
• Generate and process invoices, liaising with suppliers as needed.
• Support month‑end closing and general financial administration.

Required profile

• Accounting degree or diploma from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar financial accounting role.
• Proficiency with XERO accounting software (essential).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Afrikaans.
• Valid driver’s licence and maximum one‑month notice period.
