About the role
The Controller Cashiering will perform administrative and accounting procedures, update revenue data, post transactions to accounts, and provide clerical support to ensure accurate processing in line with municipal guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise staff activities and control cashiers.
- Control and query votes, record and implement council tariffs.
- Perform receipting, reconciliation and posting of income transactional data.
- Provide client service delivery, liaise with customers and support related activities.
- Record bank guarantees, open and record incoming mail.
- Authorize pre‑paid application forms and reporting.
- Execute any other duties as instructed by the supervisor.
Required profile
- Relevant 3‑year tertiary qualification (National Diploma or B.Com) with a focus on Financial Accounting or Financial Management.
- Computer literacy in MS Office.
- Valid Code B driver’s licence.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
