About the role
The Controller – Billing, Rates & Taxes will coordinate and control the municipal billing, property rates and revenue collection functions. This role ensures accurate billing, compliance with legislation and effective communication with consumers regarding payment for services.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and control municipal billing, property rates and revenue collection processes.
- Verify, report, process and reconcile accounts receivable transactions and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Supervise and guide personnel in billing sequences and communicate information to consumers.
Required profile
- 3‑year tertiary qualification (National Diploma or BCom) in Financial Accounting or Financial Management.
- Driver’s licence Code B.
- 0–2 years relevant experience.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Computer literacy with MS Office applications.
What we offer
- Salary: R23 167.20 per month (approximately R278 006 – R360 873 per annum).
- Benefits include Medical Aid, Pension, Housing Allowance (subject to requirements) and a 13th cheque.
