Adviser – Everyday Banking (FAIS)

About the role

The Adviser supports everyday banking operations within the AIFA framework, ensuring compliance with FAIS regulations and delivering targeted sales outcomes. This role combines stakeholder coordination, customer engagement, and risk management to drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and manage collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, suppliers, clients, service providers, and other Absa entities.
• Initiate customer contacts to achieve defined sales targets and expand the bank’s client base.
• Plan and execute client outreach activities, identifying and prioritising customers for engagement during each period.
• Ensure all activities comply with control, compliance, and quality standards, mitigating risk across the banking practice.
• Oversee the broker practice, guiding Broker Assistants and interns on their roles and responsibilities.

Required profile

• Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce or Management Studies.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, particularly FAIS.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across multiple business units.
