Accounting & Tax Professional (Johannesburg)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Tax Professional to join our growing practice. You will work on a variety of client engagements, providing bookkeeping, payroll, tax compliance and advisory services in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping up to trial balance and prepare monthly management accounts.
• Process payroll and related functions.
• Draft annual financial statements and compute tax liabilities.
• Prepare and submit individual (ITR12) and company (ITR14) tax returns, including VAT and PAYE.
• Manage SARS eFiling, audits, objections, disputes and online appointments.
• Update SARS public officer details and handle COID (WCA) registrations.
• Support CIPC annual compliance, beneficial ownership filings and annual returns.
• Assist clients with general accounting, tax and compliance matters.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Tax or Bookkeeping.
• Previous experience in an accounting or tax practice.
• Strong understanding of South African tax legislation and SARS eFiling.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
