About the role

We are seeking a reliable Winch Driver to operate powered cable equipment for lifting and positioning heavy loads in our Durban logistics operations. The role involves working closely with site teams to ensure safe and precise load handling in various industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate winches and related cable equipment to lift, pull, and position heavy loads.
• Respond to visual and audio signals, adjusting levers, pedals and throttles to control cable movement.
• Conduct pre‑operation inspections and routine maintenance of winch machinery.
• Coordinate with supervisors and crew to ensure load stability and site safety.
• Maintain accurate logs of operations and report any equipment issues.

Required profile

• Experience in operating winch or similar heavy‑load equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures in logistics or construction settings.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good visual and auditory perception to follow signals.
