Warehouse Lead – Logistics & Safety

About the role

We are looking for a Warehouse Lead to oversee safety, quality, and logistics operations within our warehouse environment. The role ensures compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and efficient inbound/outbound logistics while supporting internal and external stakeholder service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor VPO and DPO Excellence programmes.
• Own territorial safety within logistics operations, including shiftly stacking inspections and fleet system monitoring (FMX).
• Conduct safety behaviour observations, set SIF precursor targets, and ensure compliance with Department of Labour stacking exemptions.
• Maintain quality standards, perform batch management, and verify BB dates and freshness for raw materials and finished goods.
• Execute daily stock counts using handheld devices (HHT) and reconcile physical inventory with ERP records.
• Verify inbound loads for quantity, quality, and age standards; record returns and process GRN loads in SAP.
• Monitor delivery schedules, manage outbound logistics, and escalate issues to suppliers or control rooms as needed.
• Perform salvage transactions in ERP and ensure food‑safety policies are adhered to.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse logistics and safety management.
• Strong knowledge of quality and food‑safety standards.
• Ability to work with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations, and root‑cause analysis (e.g., 5 WHY, PDCA).
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
