Warehouse & Forklift Operator

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Warehouse & Forklift Operator to join their Cape Town facility. You will be responsible for the safe receipt, storage, handling and dispatch of materials and finished products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast‑moving logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks, 20‑ft and 40‑ft containers.
• Operate forklifts, pallet trucks and other material‑handling equipment safely.
• Receive, label, store and retrieve stock, maintaining accurate location records.
• Pick, pack, re‑bag and prepare products for shipment.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with monthly stock counts.
• Investigate and report any stock discrepancies.
• Maintain clean and safe warehouse conditions and follow H&S procedures.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Valid forklift licence (minimum 3‑ton capacity).
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
• Ability to work independently and flexible hours when needed.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending and handling heavy loads.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (3‑ton capacity).

• Use of material‑handling equipment.
• Inventory control and cycle‑count procedures.
