Warehouse & Forklift Operator

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Warehouse & Forklift Operator to join the team in Parow Industria, Cape Town. The role involves safe and efficient movement, handling, storage and preparation of materials and finished products within a warehouse environment. The successful candidate will work as part of a team and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials, including 20‑foot and 40‑foot containers.
• Move materials between loading areas, delivery vehicles and designated storage locations.
• Identify, label and record materials to support accurate inventory control.
• Prepare finished products for dispatch by picking, packing, re‑bagging and loading.
• Operate forklifts, pallet trucks and other material‑handling equipment safely.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with monthly stock counts.
• Report stock discrepancies or warehouse‑related issues.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics or manufacturing.
• Valid 3‑ton capacity forklift licence.
• Ability to read, write and follow workplace instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good attention to detail when handling and counting stock.
• Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend and safely handle materials.
