Linehaul Fleet Controller – Johannesburg

About the role

Qetello Holdings is seeking an experienced Linehaul Fleet Controller to oversee and optimise long-distance transport operations in Johannesburg. The role focuses on ensuring on-time deliveries, fleet efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and optimise linehaul schedules to achieve on-time deliveries and effective resource utilisation.
• Monitor vehicle movements, ensure adherence to routes and coordinate with dispatchers and branch management.
• Maintain fleet roadworthiness, schedule routine maintenance and address breakdowns promptly.
• Track fleet utilisation, fuel consumption and performance to support cost optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards and national transport regulations.
• Lead, motivate and manage drivers and support staff, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
• Liaise with customers to meet service expectations and resolve operational issues.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification – non-negotiable.
• Minimum three years’ experience in fleet planning and control within transport or logistics.
• Strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
