Waitron – Fine Dining Service at Kelvin Grove Club

About the role

We are seeking a professional Waitron to join the Food & Beverage team at Kelvin Grove Club’s Terrace restaurant. The role involves delivering polished, silver‑service hospitality to members and their guests in a high‑end, 5‑star environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide efficient, courteous silver‑service to members and guests, including greeting, seating and menu presentation.
• Make informed food and wine recommendations, leveraging strong menu knowledge.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure timely, flawless service.
• Anticipate guest needs, check in regularly and exceed expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and ensure the dining area, music and condiments are guest‑ready.
• Assist in other club outlets as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification; hospitality or catering education is an advantage.
• Minimum one year of waitron experience in a 5‑star establishment.
• Friendly, service‑oriented personality with excellent people skills.
• Fluent English communicator, organised, proactive, honest and dependable.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
