About the role
This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the store and its facilities in Durban. The role involves routine cleaning tasks, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and supporting other areas of the unit when needed.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, back‑of‑house, and outside areas at all times.
- Clean food preparation equipment, floors, walls, windows, and kitchen tools.
- Disinfect laundry, kitchen, toilet, and bathroom fixtures.
- Ensure no cleaning agents are left in public areas and place safety signs where cleaning is in progress.
- Assist in other unit areas when the cleaning workload is light.
Required profile
- Trustworthy, reliable and honest.
- Attention to detail and good personal hygiene.
- Motivated, able to work quickly and safely.
- Good hand‑eye coordination and communication skills.
- Free from skin allergies to foods and detergents.
- Team‑oriented and able to work as part of a team.
