Veterinarian – Small Animal Practice in Roodepoort

About the role

An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated Veterinarian to join an established small‑animal practice in Roodepoort. The practice is known for exceptional patient care and offers a collaborative environment that supports clinical independence and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments, examinations, diagnoses, and perform surgical procedures, wound care and treatments.
• Carry out diagnostic laboratory work, imaging, ultrasound and prescribe appropriate medical treatments.
• Promote preventative health through vaccinations, wellness care and educate clients on optimal pet care.
• Perform humane euthanasia when necessary and maintain accurate medical records.

Required profile

• BVSc degree and SAVC registration with up‑to‑date CPD points.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, relationship‑building abilities and a love for animals.
• Valid driver’s licence and fluency in Afrikaans and English.

Required skills

• Ability to manage cases independently and take sole‑charge responsibilities.
• Flexibility to work alternative weekend hours.
