Team Lead – Solar Finance & Credit

About the role

Inyosi Empowerment is expanding its renewable energy business and seeks a Team Lead to head the Solar Finance unit. You will drive deal origination, oversee credit and investment decisions, and grow a high‑performing portfolio of commercial and industrial solar projects across South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Solar Finance function, mentoring junior analysts.
• Assess C&I solar funding opportunities, evaluate corporate creditworthiness and project viability.
• Structure financing solutions including loans, leases, asset finance and PPAs.
• Drive transactions from origination through investment approval and execution.
• Analyse solar project economics, technical feasibility, EPC proposals and energy production assumptions.
• Prepare and present Investment Committee submissions and defend recommendations.
• Continuously improve credit frameworks, risk governance and client relationship management.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of experience in renewable energy or solar project finance.
• Proven track record of leading transactions from origination to execution.
• Experience managing senior‑level stakeholders and executive committees.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with deep understanding of corporate credit and infrastructure finance.
• Knowledge of the South African C&I solar market is highly advantageous.
