Team Assistant Mining (People Living with a Disability)

About the role

Sasol is seeking a Team Assistant for its Mining division in Secunda, focusing on supporting colleagues living with a disability. The role provides high‑level administrative and secretarial services to ensure the smooth operation of the team and its managers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operational and administrative tasks for the mining team.
• Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, and record accurate minutes.
• Maintain managers' diaries and coordinate travel, accommodation and event logistics.
• Compile and prepare submissions, issue approved reports, and update the reporting module.
• Produce professional documents, presentations, spreadsheets and maintain databases.
• Log IT and operational issues on behalf of the team and follow up on resolutions.
• Answer telephone calls, handle inquiries and maintain a filing system for departmental records.
• Monitor office supplies, process purchase requests, load PRs and invoices, and follow up on payments.

Required profile

• High School/Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant administrative or secretarial experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce error‑free documentation.
• Effective communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet application.
