Tax Senior Associate – Corporate Tax Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior Associate to join our Private Tax practice. The role focuses on preparing and managing corporate tax accounting, compliance, and audit assignments while delivering high‑quality tax services to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and perform corporate tax accounting assignments.
• Lead and execute audits of tax assignments.
• Prepare, review, and submit corporate tax compliance deliverables, including income tax, provisional tax returns, SARS verification requests, and withholding tax returns.
• Build and maintain client relationships, demonstrating an understanding of their businesses.
• Liaise with SARS, handling queries and verification requests.
• Engage in technical discussions, drafting written technical responses for clients and colleagues.
• Manage multiple client engagements, budgets, and production goals while adhering to firm risk policies.
• Utilise AI tools to enhance deliverables and internal processes.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting, a postgraduate degree, or a diploma in taxation.
• Completed SAIT articles – mandatory for this role.
• Minimum of 2 years post‑SAIT article experience in a corporate income tax position.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and solve complex business problems.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn.
