Structural Engineer – Data Center Projects

About the role

Join AECOM as a Structural Engineer focused on data‑center projects, delivering detailed designs for reinforced concrete and steel structures worldwide. Working under a Senior Engineer, you will contribute to high‑impact infrastructure that supports critical digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural calculations and design for commercial and industrial buildings, including data‑center facilities.
• Produce structural drawings and, when required, assist with Revit modeling.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, and clients during planning, design, and site meetings.
• Conduct ad‑hoc site inspections and ensure compliance with safety, integrity, and engineering standards.
• Manage smaller design projects, including resource planning and schedule estimation.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience designing concrete and steel structures.
• B.Eng. degree (M.Eng. preferred).
• Strong analytical, numerical, and commercial awareness skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as Tekla Structural Designer, ETABS, Robot, and IDEA StatiCa.
• Knowledge of Revit Structures (advantageous).
• Experience in finite‑element design of concrete slabs, especially flat‑slab systems.
