BIM Modeller - Building Civils, Structures

About the role

AECOM is recruiting a BIM Modeller for building civils and structures in Centurion. The role involves modelling and producing drawings in Revit and Civil 3D without direct supervision, preparing BIM models to client and industry standards, and supporting the team through the delivery phase.

Key responsibilities

• Model and produce drawings in Autodesk Revit (MEP and Structures) and Autodesk Civil 3D without direct supervision
• Prepare BIM models and deliverables to meet client requirements, industry standards and the project BIM Execution Plan
• Check the completeness and accuracy of work before review by the Senior Engineer or designated senior team member
• Support work on departmental projects as directed by the Team Leader
• Follow coordination strategy and reporting using Navisworks and other coordination software
• Assist with managing incoming and outgoing model and drawing information
• Manage projects in BIM360 and organize own work to meet deadlines
• Keep up to date with the latest software and techniques to increase productivity
• Modelling of below-ground services in Revit, such as conduits, pipes and chambers

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in relevant Revit modelling
• BIM qualification, diploma or advanced diploma in civil engineering
• Ability to work under pressure, with strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required skills

• Autodesk Revit (MEP and Structures) and Civil 3D
• Dynamo scripting to model underground services in Revit
• Knowledge of industry BIM standards and Revit processes
• Technical knowledge of gravity and pressure flow in pipes
