Senior Technologist - Architecture (Data Centre)

About the role

AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is seeking a Senior Technologist to lead architectural design work for data centre projects in South Africa. The role involves delivering high‑quality BIM models, coordinating multidisciplinary design efforts and supporting senior architects on complex assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Architectural design and BIM model production ensuring compliance with design briefs.
• Coordinate design across architecture and other disciplines, prepare specifications, reports and data tables.
• Perform architectural and engineering calculations, material take‑offs and review/approve drawings.
• Liaise with design and drafting groups and support senior architects on complex assignments.

Required profile

• Degree in Architectural Technology (BTech) from an accredited university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the built environment.
• Registered Professional Architectural Technologist (SACAP).

Required skills

• BIM modelling and drawing production.
• Architectural design coordination.
