Senior Sales Representative - Joint Replacement

About the role

Stryker is looking for an energetic and dynamic Senior Sales Representative to join its team in the FreeState province, working in a field-based capacity. The role suits someone passionate about medical technology, particularly joint replacement products, who can build strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the company positively and maintain a professional image
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of medical products and procedures through consultative clinical conversations
• Act with integrity, exceed customer expectations and suggest proactive improvements
• Build comprehensive business plans with SWOT analysis, SMART objectives and contingency plans
• Use consultative sales techniques to develop business and detail financing options for customers
• Understand the commercial workings of the government and private sectors and leverage this for business opportunities
• Win market share and support cross-franchise colleagues in winning business
• Recognise buying signals, react appropriately and consistently close deals
• Support junior sales representatives and assist with tendering proposals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine deliverables, showing sales leadership
• Work under limited supervision, taking an informal leadership role in significant projects

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the medical technology field
• Specifically, experience with joint replacement products is required
• Diploma in a related field
• Valid driving licence for travel and client visits
