Business Development Manager - Electrical & Automation Engineering

About the role

Greenro Solutions is looking for an ambitious and technically credible Business Development Manager based in Midrand. The BDM drives company growth by identifying new business opportunities, winning strategic projects and building relationships with clients, industry partners and stakeholders. The role sells complex electrical and automation engineering, integration and lifecycle services (design, procurement, installation, commissioning and maintenance).

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and win strategic projects.
• Tailor offerings to client needs and lead proposal development, negotiation and deal closure.
• Build and nurture strategic relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.
• Translate complex technical solutions into clear business value.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) and a National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Technologist (advantageous).
• Minimum of 5 years of technical business development or sales in the EC&I / automation sector.
• Proven track record of winning EC&I packages for water and wastewater, industrial, energy or process plants (EPC/M, EPCM or direct-to-end-client).
• Strong existing network in those sectors and industries.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of LV/MV switchgear, MCCs, PLC/SCADA, DCS, instrumentation and ATEX/IECEx environments.
• Ability to structure framework agreements, construction contracts and joint ventures.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Consultative selling, market analysis, budget and pricing management, and contract negotiation.
