Senior Professional Architect – Data Centre

About the role

The Senior Professional Architect (Data Centre) will lead architectural design and infrastructure planning for data centre projects, managing BIM models, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with design briefs and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Architectural design and data centre infrastructure planning, including BIM model management and drawing production.
• Design coordination across architecture, engineering and other disciplines to resolve technical conflicts and ensure seamless integration.
• Value engineering and cost optimisation to deliver efficient, cost‑effective solutions.
• Sustainability and energy‑efficiency assessment for data centre environmental performance.
• Compliance review, risk assessment and mitigation planning, ensuring designs meet building codes and data‑centre standards.
• Project budget management and resource allocation throughout delivery.

Required profile

• B.Arch or BSc Architecture.
• 12+ years post‑graduate experience.
• Professional registration as an Architect with SACAP.
