Senior Manager: Key Accounts (Telecommunications)

About the role

A permanent Senior Manager: Key Accounts (Telecommunications) position based in JHB North, Johannesburg, reporting to the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. The role covers strategic sales management, account planning and retention of key telecommunications clients.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and implement the sales strategy, developing account plans for assigned portfolios
• Lead internal engagements that translate customer needs and foster complex multi-stakeholder relationships
• Manage revenue generation processes and prepare and present targeted proposals
• Retain existing customers and ensure pricing approval processes are followed
• Execute complex tender proposals and make sure legally required documents are submitted by customers
• Liaise with billing and collections on invoice verification and outstanding monies, and submit documents needed to trigger billing
• Monitor and track client performance, report results and contribute to cross-functional forums

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Commerce or Business Management
• Minimum 6 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years with complex accounts involving multiple stakeholders and in the field of engineering
• Minimum 3 years of telecommunications-related experience
• Minimum 3 years' experience with submarine cable landing systems (e.g. WACS)
• Proven customer service affinity
