Senior Journey Concierge

About the role

Belmond Journeys in Africa is looking for a Senior Journey Concierge in Cape Town. The role shapes memorable journeys for guests by understanding what matters to each of them and curating experiences that feel effortless, personal and true to the destination. It reports to the Reservations Manager and includes mentoring colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Curate tailored journeys across Southern Africa that are thoughtful, seamless and personal to each guest.
• Build and maintain deep knowledge of destinations, properties, experiences and partners.
• Work with internal teams and partners to deliver the experience promised to every guest, ensuring partners meet Belmond standards.
• Identify opportunities to enhance journeys while supporting commercial objectives.
• Communicate guest preferences, requirements and operational information accurately and on time, and resolve issues collaboratively.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the team so it can prioritise effectively and deliver consistently high standards.
• Manage quotations, reservations and travel arrangements accurately and efficiently.
• Support conversion of enquiries through timely follow-up and relationship management.
• Maintain an understanding of rates, availability and commercial considerations.

Required profile

• Significant experience in luxury travel, destination management, hospitality, safari operations or a related guest-focused environment.
• Proven experience designing and managing complex, tailor-made itineraries for discerning travellers.
• Strong knowledge of Southern Africa's destinations, lodges, experiences, logistics and travel networks.
• A genuine passion for travel and creating meaningful experiences.
